Our approach

Heal. Prevent. Enhance.

Not just a tagline — the foundation of every treatment plan we build. Proactive, personalised, and focused on helping you move better for life.

Stage 1

Heal

In the presence of pain our bodies will recruit different muscles and adopt movement patterns to avoid pain and discomfort, which can lead to long-term dysfunction. Our first priority is to remove pain as quickly as possible, allowing your body to return to more natural, efficient movement.

  • Reduce pain
  • Restore mobility
  • Recover confidence
Stage 2

Prevent

Contributing factors are often linked to postural habits, movement patterns, or psychosocial factors. At the second stage, once your pain is under control, we perform a movement screening to identify these factors and break the cycle of recurring flare-ups.

  • Build foundation
  • Improve resilience
  • Prevent recurrence
Stage 3

Enhance

True wellness means going beyond recovery. On the third and final stage, after we've assessed your movement patterns and created a personalised plan, we start building your strength and improving your performance so you can achieve optimal health — whether that means lifting better, running faster, or simply living without limitation.

  • Unlock performance
  • Move efficiently
  • Reach your potential

Alex Barmpas

Chartered Physiotherapist B.Sc, M.Sc, KCMT

Alex is an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over a decade of clinical practice across the private sector and elite sport. His interest in physiotherapy began as a national-level Judo athlete for Greece, where recurring injuries sparked a deep interest in movement, recovery and injury prevention.

He went on to serve in the Greek Special Forces as a First Aid Paratrooper — gaining hands-on experience in trauma care and developing the resilience and discipline that still shape his clinical approach today.

Career

Elite sport to private practice

In 2016, Alex entered the world of elite sports physiotherapy, working with First Division football teams in Greece — helping athletes recover, stay injury-free, and perform at their best.

In 2018, after completing his Master of Science in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy, he moved to the UK to broaden his clinical expertise. Since then, he has worked in some of the country's top-rated private physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, including Body Logic Health as a Movement & Running Specialist, and Six Physio as Consultant Physiotherapist & Hand Physiotherapist.

Throughout his career, Alex has been invited to speak at physiotherapy symposiums and conferences, while continuing to attend courses that expand his clinical expertise. He specialises in complex and recurring injuries, running-related issues, hand therapy and faulty movement patterns — with an approach that is hands-on, movement-based and tailored to get to the root of the problem, not just treat the symptoms.

"For months — two, three times a week — Alex was there through the worst of it, right up to my surgery. What made the difference was how knowledgeable he is. Any question I had, he had the answer. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone."

"I needed a physio I could trust — someone with real experience working with elite athletes. He's also very good at explaining movement patterns. Not just telling you what to do — helping you understand why."

"For five months, twice a week, Alex worked with me through the whole recovery. He took the time to know me — as an athlete and as a person. He helped me understand the mechanics of what happened, and how to move again with confidence."
